The Incineration Unit of Cadavers and Environmentally Polluting Waste

About the incineration unit:

The unit of incineration of cadavers and environmentally polluting waste affiliated to the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine - Cairo University was established by decision of the President of the Supreme Council of Universities No. (75) on 7/7/2008 as a unit of a special nature and renovations were made to it in January 2012, as the college incinerator is considered one of the largest incinerators on the level of veterinary colleges in the Republic.

The incineration unit of cadavers and environmentally polluting waste is concerned with the sanitary disposal of dead corpses from all sources within the college, whether from scientific departments, experimental research, or private centres. It aims to preserve the environment at the college level and the surrounding area by safely disposing of carcasses of dead animals and biological waste using an environmentally friendly incinerator that operates on natural gas.


Services provided by the centre:

Incineration of all kinds of carcasses of animals of all kinds - birds - their waste from inside the college (all departments) resulting from practical, educational and teaching research for the undergraduate and postgraduate levels, as well as the production centres of a special nature in the college.
